Beall Avenue StreetscapeWooster, Ohio | 6,100 Linear Foot Streetscape and Utility Improvements | Master Plan 2003 | Completion Fall 2009 This project first began with a Master Plan for improvements along 6,100' of roadway on a major thoroughfare that connects the City of Wooster, and the College of Wooster campus. The study provided the basis for an $8 million project is funded through a combination of funds from the City, and the College of Wooster, as well as $2 million from ODOT. Improvements include new sidewalks, pavers, signal coordination, bike lanes, decorative lamp posts, landscaped medians, stamped asphalt crosswalks and removal of overhead utilities. The overall goal is to develop a more attractive and safer environment for students and residents and to create a strong linkage between the college campus and the commercial district. |
