Historic Monmouth StreetscapeNewport, Kentucky | Eight Block Streetscape Enhancement | Funded Reduced vacancies by 75% The Master Plan and Construction Documents for streetscape development of eight blocks of the main retail corridor included new sidewalks, curbs, lighting and related street amenities. Phase I utilized ISTEA, TEA-21 and Renaissance Kentucky Funds. Newport-on-the-Levee and the Newport Aquarium anchor the north end, and City Hall anchors the south end. The early success of this project enabled this street to go from over 20 vacancies to just four. During the planning phase, Brandstetter Carroll Inc. received public input and met with business Owners to discuss potential changes to the street. |
