METCALFE COUNTY COURTHOUSE
Edmonton, Kentucky

The new Metcalfe County Courthouse is a 19,200 square foot facility that contains all Circuit and District Courts, the Office of Circuit Court Clerk and ancillary services. The Courthouse has state-of-the-art security systems, including a single entry point, magnetometers, security personnel, audio, and video equipment. Prisoner movement takes place via segregated areas, corridors and elevators. A wireless duress alarm system was installed that can be accessed in case of an immediate emergency.

A series of historic quotes are engraved in the masonry on either side of the entry-point to the Courthouse. These words derive from Kentucky's most prominent leaders such as President Abraham Lincoln, Statesman Henry Clay and United States Supreme Court Chief Justice Fred M. Vinson, as well as quotes from Presidents George Washington and Thomas Jefferson.
