OUR HISTORY
In 1979, Lawrence W. Brandstetter and Michael E. Carroll set forth
with a vision to establish a full service Architecture and Engineering
firm that was well respected among public and private sector entities,
as well as within the industry. After months of research, Mr. Brandstetter
and Mr. Carroll chose Lexington, Kentucky as the site for its corporate
headquarters. As time progressed, the firm once known as "Larry
and Mike" established a network of clients throughout the Commonwealth
of Kentucky and State of Ohio. This extensive network proved that growth
was inevitable, and the firm launched its new office in Cincinnati,
Ohio in 1982, under the direct leadership of Bruce G. Brandstetter.
With a strong Architectural Division located in Lexington, Kentucky
and supporting Engineering Services in Cincinnati, Ohio, Brandstetter Carroll Inc. was well
on its way to creating one of the largest first generation firms in
the region.
In 1991, Bernard J. Zofcin formed a partnership with Brandstetter
Carroll Inc. and opened the Cleveland office under the name of Brandstetter
Carroll Zofcin Inc. While many firms were moving through the difficulties
of the early 1990's recession, Brandstetter Carroll Inc. had once again stayed the course
with its goals to grow. Today, Brandstetter Carroll Inc. has a staff of 60 members and has
expanded its service area to include the states of Ohio, Indiana,
Kentucky,
West Virginia, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama, Tennessee,
New Jersey and Texas. The founding principles of Brandstetter Carroll Inc. in 1979 are still
the principles
of the firm today. As Brandstetter Carroll Inc. has grown, qualified Associates have provided
leadership and management skills to the firm, which has enhanced the
ability to grow and continue to provide quality services to its clients.
At this time, Brandstetter Carroll Inc. has specific expertise in a number of market areas
within the industry. Specifically, the Architectural Division specializes
its design services for administration buildings, judicial facilities,
libraries, public safety facilities, commercial development, office
buildings and religious facilities. The Engineering Division is organized
under two specialized departments. The General Engineering Division
handles all waste water systems, site development, storm water, and
water system projects, as well as airport engineering. The Transportation
Division assists clients with roadway design, traffic engineering, transportation
planning and traffic studies, signal design, and downtown revitalization
projects.
The firm also has one of the most reputable Parks, Planning and Landscape
Architectural Divisions in the country. This Division focuses its
sole
efforts in the design of recreation facilities including aquatic centers,
recreation centers, park and recreation system Master Planning and
Design
and skate parks. In each Division, Brandstetter Carroll Inc. surrounds itself with the industry's
top professionals in order to enhance the services delivered to its
clients, thus improving the quality of life for communities throughout
the area.
