GROVEPORT RECREATION COMPLEX
Groveport, Ohio

The Village of Groveport is a community of 4,000 citizens located 10 miles southeast of Columbus Ohio. The entire recreation complex involves an outdoor family aquatic center and a state-of-the-art recreation center, and was completed for $12 million. The Family Aquatic Center opened in late May of 2003 and includes zero-depth entry, two water slides, lazy river, 25-meter competition pool and diving well, spray features and bathhouse.

The Recreation Complex is one of the most advanced and modern facilities in the state of Ohio. The 67,000 square foot center includes:

• Two regulation size basketball courts/gymnasiums
• Three-lane second floor walking trail with views of all major activity areas
• Heated; Indoor aquatic center, that includes a lazy river and spray features
• Fitness area
• Group exercise/fitness studio
• 30 foot rock climbing wall
• Child care services facility
• Family room
• Lounge complete with vending machines
• Restrooms and locker rooms

The recreation center was dedicated on January 10, 2004 by the Mayor, Council members, community activists and citizens.
