The Parks and Greenways Master Plan was completed in 1991 and the Recreation Master Plan for Service Delivery in 1996. Both studies included extensive public input to determine the community's vision. Each plan included significant focus on the riverfront as a major focal point for community and regional activities and public spaces. The success of the plans is proven by the many recommendations that have been implemented due to the strong public support.
