The Brandstetter Carrroll Inc. Aquatics Engineers and Architects have designed over 135 Outdoor Aquatic Centers, and provided many unique features. These facilities include both indoor and outdoor facilities which feature waterslides, lazy rivers, spray grounds, zero-depth access, enhanced food service, unique wading pools, and party rooms. Also, BCI has assisted clients in formulating and providing aquatic programs that enhance public safety, build a sense of community, and increase annual attendance. Indoor aquatic facilities have included competitive pools, bulkheads, family-oriented pools, and warm-water therapy pools.

Most new aquatic facilities and many renovated facilities begin with a Feasibility Study which determines the proper size facility and features for a community. The studies utilize community engagement to determine priorities and desired features and identify the estimated annual attendance and operating Pro-forma to predict the income and expenses which impact a community budget. These studies provide the data and information needed to allow communities to make informed decisions on the future of their aquatic facilities.

BCI has also prepared Aquatic System Master Plans for communities with multiple facilities to address issues of aging infrastructure, declining attendance, and needs for service in growth areas. These plans have been prepared for: Austin, Texas; Columbus, Ohio; Charlotte, North Carolina; Lexington, Kentucky; Garland, Texas; Dayton, Ohio; and others.
