With a bold vision “to be the #1 Family Community in America,” the Roswell City Council selected Brandstetter Carroll Inc. to lead a comprehensive Strategic Planning process for its nationally recognized, Gold Medal Award-winning, and CAPRA-accredited Parks and Recreation Department.
Roswell’s extensive system includes over 1,000 acres of parkland featuring greenways, trails, historic homes, art and recreation centers, sports complexes, and protected natural areas—including the community’s crown jewel, the Chattahoochee River Parks. BCI conducted a full assessment of all properties and facilities, combining on-the-ground analysis with service area mapping and GIS tools to identify current service gaps and future needs.
Community engagement played a central role in shaping the plan, with public input gathered through surveys, open houses, and stakeholder discussions. The resulting plan provided clear, data-driven strategies for expanding access, enhancing experiences, and aligning resources with community priorities. This strategic framework helped drive the successful passage of a $107.6 million parks and recreation bond in 2022—positioning Roswell to deliver on its vision and invest in its future.
