Strategic Leadership Realignment Positions Firm for Next Phase of Growth

As professional services firms scale, leadership structure often becomes the determining factor between sustained growth and organizational strain. Recognizing this inflection point, Brandstetter Carroll Inc. has implemented a strategic leadership realignment designed to strengthen focus, enhance operational clarity, and support continued expansion.

Executive Level

The realignment also enables a broader strategic shift at the executive level. Ben Brandstetter will remain President while also assuming the role of Chief Executive Officer, allowing him to focus more intentionally on company strategy, vision, and long-term growth.

Complementing this move, Monica Sumner has been appointed Chief Operating Officer (COO). In this role, she will oversee operational coordination across the organization, support managers, and ensure consistency in communication, processes, and execution—key elements for scaling effectively while maintaining service quality.

Practice-Based Leadership

The firm introduced two new senior leadership roles to provide dedicated oversight of its core disciplines, with Eric Chambers, serving as Director of Architectural Practice and Charlie Schneider, serving as Director of Engineering Practice. The creation of these positions reflects a deliberate shift toward practice-based leadership. Chambers and Schneider will guide their respective practices with responsibility for performance, long-term growth, alignment of standards, consistency of processes, and overall quality of work across teams. This restructuring does not alter individual employee roles, but instead establishes a more sustainable leadership model that supports managers, maintains continuity, and reduces organizational complexity as the firm grows.
