Scope

The Algonquin Aquatics Center stands as a vibrant symbol of renewal and investment in the heart of Louisville’s historic West End. Located within Algonquin Park, one of the city’s four historic Olmsted-designed parks, the new aquatics facility is the first of its kind in Louisville.
With a capacity of 475 guests, the center offers an exciting variety of features for individuals and families alike, including a 22-foot dual slide and an 8-foot family slide, a challenging climbing wall, and a playful lily pad walk for interactive fun. Younger visitors can enjoy a colorful aquatic play structure and a spray zone with beach entry, while those seeking fitness and relaxation can take advantage of a vortex pool and four lap lanes. To ensure comfort throughout the day, seven shaded structures are thoughtfully placed around the pool deck, providing families with much-needed rest and relief.

This new aquatic center is more than a place to swim, it is a community cornerstone.
