BCI worked with the City of Elizabethtown in 2014 to replace the current American Legion Park pool which was built in the 1960s. The new facility offers a large activity pool with a zero-depth entry, a combination speed and loop water slide, a basketball goal, a climbing wall, and an activity structure with a large dumping bucket. The pool also includes a six-inch water shelf for relaxing. In addition to the pool, the facility includes a lazy river and a spray pad. The spray pad was provided to service patrons of the park and is designed to be utilized before and after the pool season months. To support all these amenities, a pool house was constructed housing admissions, lifeguard break room, manager’s office, the pump and filtration room, and a rentable party room.
