Scope

BCI was commissioned by the City of Bowling Green to conduct a comprehensive assessment and renovation of the existing transit facility. The modernization effort focused on expanding and reconfiguring interior spaces to increase office capacity and enhance staff amenities, including upgraded break rooms and a dedicated training room. The project also incorporated improved lighting systems and updated technology throughout the facility to elevate efficiency and overall functionality. BCI worked directly with the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) throughout the project to ensure compliance with federal requirements and alignment with applicable funding and design standards.
Site improvements included the full rehabilitation and restriping of the parking lot to increase parking capacity and improve circulation for both vehicles and buses. Additionally, the project introduced a designated public queuing area to provide transit users with a safer, more organized, and more comfortable waiting environment.
