Consistent with Tamarack Camps goal to provide extraordinary camping and environmental education programming and experiences, a new farm program and facility was developed. Brandstetter Carroll Inc. led the Project Team through a site-specific Master Planning and programming process and developed all the building and site facilities designs. The team included camp staff, board volunteers, other community stakeholders, potential donors, and nationally recognized camp farm program specialist – Farmer D. The completed project encompasses nearly 15 acres of previously farmed land and includes a Learning Center, large demonstration garden plots, production gardens, hoop house, year-round greenhouse, composting, post-harvest pavilion, mud-oven pavilion, tool barn, and outdoor program gathering areas. The farm is completely organic and is supervised by a full-time farmer and program director.
