Brandstetter Carroll Inc. is currently designing a new state-of-the-art aquatic center for the City of Lexington, Kentucky. This exciting project will bring a vibrant, inclusive recreational space to the community, offering a wide variety of features that promote both active play and healthy living.
The aquatic center will include interactive water elements such as a diving board, dump bucket, and spray features, along with flexible programming zones to accommodate multiple uses throughout the day. A signature attraction of the facility will be a colorful inflatable wet bubble—designed for climbing, bouncing, and sliding—providing a one-of-a-kind play experience.
Additional features include a climbing wall, a 15-foot slide, and a lap swim area for fitness-oriented users. Supporting amenities will include a new pool house with restrooms and a shaded picnic pavilion, creating a comfortable, family-friendly environment.
Extensive community engagement has guided the design process, ensuring the facility is tailored to the needs and aspirations of Lexington residents.
