Scope

Brandstetter Carroll Inc. prepared the Master Plan and phased construction documents for this park. The Master Plan consisted of designing a 45-acre park on a former site of a riverfront amusement park (Americana and LeSourdesville Lake) to serve as a passive park and for outdoor environmental education center. Features include an event center, amphitheater, two miles of trails along the Great Miami River, picnic shelters, nature- themed playground, bike park, and much more. Phase 1 was bid in December 2019 and included the site utilities infrastructure. Phase 2 will be bid in spring 2021 and include park entryway, restroom, and an ages 2-5 creative playground under the former carousel shelter. Phase 3 will include a nature play area. Remnants of the former amusement park are incorporated into the design.
