Owensboro, Kentucky

$5.1 million

Size

Scope

The Owensboro-Daviess County Airport is required by the FFA to maintain fire and rescue services on site. The existing building was outdated, small, and unable to accommodate current ARFF vehicles. Brandstetter Carroll Inc. designed a 15,000 s.f. Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting Facility for Owensboro-Daviess County Regional Airport. This fire station is a dual-use station that not only is an ARFF but also a County/City Station on the west side of the County. This station is designed with five apparatus bays, five bunk rooms, a full kitchen, locker rooms, and a training/EOC room along with a training tower for multiple training opportunities. The facility was completed in January 2019.
