Scope

Brandstetter Carroll, Inc. provided design services to the Washington County Extension Office. The project involved master planning their six-acre parcel for current and future use. The site holds a new 11,000 s.f. facility and the many site features including a ham house, walking trails, and an outdoor pavilion. Future items such as a beekeeping grove, fruit orchard, team-building activity space, such as a C.O.P.E. ropes course, and an archery and shooting sports area are being planned thoughtfully. Once funding becomes available for all these features, the plan will be in place for implementation.

The building includes offices for all five agents, plus space for a future agent. Office needs and storage needs were accommodated. A large Community Room is included, with a stage and storage/support areas. This room can be divided into two or three spaces for use with smaller groups.

A project room accessible from the outside was designed to be cleanable with a hose after educational programs such as sheep shearing, tree grafting, etc.
