Athens County 911/EOC

The Plains, OH

Budget

$6,000,000

Size

10,600 SQ FT

Scope

A new Emergency Operations Center and 911 Dispatch Center was developed to replace an outdated facility located adjacent to the Sheriff’s Department and County Administration Building. The previous building was unable to support future operational needs or provide the level of resilience required for sustained emergency response.

The single-story facility is fully hardened to withstand tornadoes and straight-line winds in accordance with FEMA and ICC 500 requirements. Designed to support joint operations, the center enables coordination among local and state agencies during natural disasters and other emergency situations. Program spaces include offices and support areas, a 911 dispatch room, conference rooms, a large Emergency Operations Center, dedicated technology spaces, and a raised floor system to allow flexible and efficient access to critical cabling infrastructure.
