To serve the growing medical district and increasing population in southeast Denton, the city needed a smaller substation to house an engine and ambulance. Fire Station No. 8 features two bays, crew quarters for six, and a captain’s suite. Other amenities include a full commercial kitchen, day room, dining room and patio, separate laundry, watch room, shop, captain’s suite and an ornamental security fence for the staff parking lot. BCI’s highly accurate construction set aided the contractor in completing the project on time, thereby meeting the City’s aggressive completion schedule. More than $17,000 was returned to the city at the conclusion of the contract.
