Some buildings carry the weight of a community’s history, and the best design honors that while preparing for the future.
Medina County’s new Courthouse does exactly that. BCI began with a thorough evaluation of the existing facilities and a comprehensive programming process before arriving at a solution that preserves the original 1841 Courthouse as the heart of the complex, with a substantial modern addition to the rear housing the full range of today’s judicial services.
The result is a complete court campus under one roof — County Court Clerk, Probate, Domestic Relations, Juvenile Court, Juvenile Probation, Common Pleas Court, and Adult Probation — each served by dedicated Sallyport and In-Custody Holding areas designed for the secure, efficient movement of all who enter the building.
A landmark that has anchored Medina County since 1841, now built to serve it for generations more.
