Scope

Before a single wall is drawn, the best solutions start with listening. That’s the approach BCI brought to the City of Jeffersontown in 2020, when the City engaged BCI to assess the future of its Police Department facility.

BCI began with a thorough building assessment of the existing station, then went a step further — conducting staff surveys to understand operational needs from the people who work there every day. That insight shaped a comprehensive building program and a range of design concepts, including renovation and addition options for the current site as well as a new facility at an alternate location.

Conceptual site plans and cost analyses gave the City the full picture needed to make a confident decision. The process worked: BCI was selected to move forward with the project.
