The City of Mayfield endured an EF4 tornado December 10, 2021 which destroyed all of their public buildings. BCI was hired to replace them including a new central fire station.
The new fire station will house fire and EMS, and have four drive-through bays. Just off the apparatus bays are a gear storage area, decontamination area, and laundry. The two-story facility also includes a fitness room, offices, private bedrooms with lockers, a dining room and dayroom, hardened area for weather events, and training room including training tower.
