The new station accommodates a crew of five and include a captain’s suite with private office. The engine bay houses two apparatus bays and includes a bunker gear room, laundry equipped with an extractor, and shop with an air cascade. The inclusion of a hot restroom/shower in the bay area allows crew members returning from a call to proceed directly to the shower before entering the living quarters, providing another level of environmental cleanliness. Station No. 2 houses an Emergency Operations Center (EOC), which complies with ICC 500-2014 rating and is designated as a Certified Storm Shelter. It has a separate dispatch center, restrooms, storage, and a large conference-style room with seating for up to 24.
